Nationally recognized tribute artists to perform hits from 50s, 60s, and 70s.

ALBANY, N.Y. – St. Catherine’s Center for Children, a Capital Region-based, comprehensive human services organization, announced today that it will host an Elvis tribute concert, “Elvis: Good Rockin’ Tonight” at 7 PM on November 16, 2024, at The Egg in downtown Albany. The show, which will be held in Hart Theater, will star David Lee, one of the nation’s pre-eminent Elvis tribute artists, and feature Dan Fontaine, one of New England’s premier Elvis tribute artists, and his Memphis Sun Mafia band. Tickets are already on sale through The Egg’s website.

“We are so excited to host a night of rock and roll and fun at The Egg,” said Michele Puleo-O’Hare, executive director of the Foundation of St. Catherine’s Center for Children. “We’re bringing in two of the top performers in the country to put on quite a show for Elvis enthusiasts. The best part is people will be supporting the programs and services of St. Catherine’s Center for Children while having a great time.”

Hailing from Birmingham, Alabama David Lee has garnered numerous national and regional awards, including top honors at Doc Franklin’s International Images of the King contest in 2004 and Elvis Presley Enterprises’ Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist competition in 2015. Lee has performed his act all around the world. In “Elvis: Good Rockin’ Tonight” he will perform some of the King’s greatest hits from the late 1960s through his final stage performance in June of 1977.

A native of Massachusetts, Dan Fontaine has performed his act for a decade. He has placed well at competitions over the years including winning the “Blind Radio” vocal round of the 2023 Louisiana Bayou King Festival and Second Place overall, Second Place overall at this year’s Empire State Tribute Festival at Turning Stone Resort & Casino and First Place at this year’s Georgia Tribute Festival. With a vocal range covering three octaves – similar to Elvis – Dan will perform hits from the 1950s and ‘60s along with the Memphis Sun Mafia band.

“These performers are two of the best tribute artists Elvis fans will ever see,” said Brian Bell, board member of the Foundation of St. Catherine’s Center for Children who is also a respected judge at Elvis tribute contests. “Fans in attendance will enjoy hits from the very beginning of Elvis’s career right up to his final concert performances in 1977. There was only one King of Rock and Roll, but David and Dan will bring his music to life in a show that will leave many fans thinking they are witnessing Elvis himself.”

Tickets start at $39.90 and can be purchased online at https://www.theegg.org/events/event/elvis-good-rockin-tonight/. At checkout, fans will be given the option to donate additional funds to St. Catherine’s. All proceeds from this event directly benefit the programs and services provided by the agency in more than 20 New York counties.
