Matt has spent his entire career working to serve individuals and families experiencing housing instability or homelessness.

Matt started out working in programs that operated under a “Housing First” model so he has experience developing street outreach programs and working in emergency shelters. He has also worked within local government to address homelessness and adjacent issues.

Matt believes that all people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect which is a large part of why he works in human services. From a professional standpoint, he believes in promoting effective programming across a variety of modalities and frameworks to address issues of poverty, housing insecurity, food insecurity, and other pressing societal issues. A firm proponent of teamwork and collaborative partnerships, Matt also believes that solutions to complex problems are often found through listening, finding common ground and working together.

In his free time, you’ll find Matt hanging out with his wife and kids.
