A LONG TIME AGO IN A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY

Dust off your lightsabers, rev up your Millennium Falcon, and harness The Power of The Force! This year's theme for St. Catherine's 9th Annual SCCCript & SCCCreen gala will be none other than Star Wars. The gala will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017. You are invited to join St. Catherine’s Center for Children for an entertaining night of fun in support of a great cause!

This year's SCCCript & SCCCreen gala will honor two special people: Virginia Touhey and Kathleen Simmonds. Virginia and Kathleen are longtime friends of St. Catherine's and supporters of children's programs in both the U.S. and abroad. In 2015, Virginia funded the development and Kathleen drafted the conceptual design of a new playground at our Copson House residential facility. Virginia also generously donated funds for the Health and Wellness Center at our R & E May School!

Every year, St. Catherine’s Center for Children selects a popular film as the theme for our premier fundraising event, our Annual SCCCript & SCCCreen dinner and dance gala. Star Wars, one of the most popular movie franchises of all-time, has become a worldwide phenomenon that has entertained three generations of film fans. Its characters and plots have become pop culture icons, and we are very excited to celebrate this legendary film series while honoring two extraordinary friends of St. Catherine's.

This is a one of a kind event in the region, and you will want to be a part of it! And of course, you will be supporting a worthy cause. St. Catherine’s Center for Children serves traumatized children and at-risk families—our services reached some 2,000 children and adults last year—and your support of this event will help us continue that important work.
